Young Ambassador for PeaceYoung Ambassadors for Peace - Young Ambassadors for Peace (YAP) is a program of the Youth Federation for World Peace that engages the expertise and passion of dedicated young professionals to live life for the welfare of others. We train young men and women in leadership and conflict resolution and give them opportunities to have a direct impact in trouble spots around the world through interfaith conflict resolution campaigns and service work. These campaigns include conferences with young professionals from the region, service to the local community, and uniquely include religious leaders as well as the young professionals and emerging political leaders.

Middle East Peace Initiative - In partnership with the Universal Peace Federation, YFWP's Middle East Peace Initiative has drawn thousands of peace workers from every faith and continent to one of the world's most volatile regions. Seeing the Abrahamic faiths as a source not of division, but of shared spiritual and ethical values, the initiative has engaged young political and religious leaders, as well as leaders from business and the volunteer sector to change the narrative from one of violence and injustice to a concrete agenda for sustainable peace, justice, and development.

UN Millennium Development Goals
 - The eight Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), which range from halving extreme poverty to halting the spread of HIV/AIDS and providing universal primary education, all by the target date of 2015, form a blueprint agreed to by all the world's countries and the world's leading development institutions. They have galvanized unprecedented effort to meet the needs of the world's poorest.

YFWP includes awareness training for our members and promotes the MDG goals in all of our efforts. We encourage all of our members, Young Ambassadors for Peace and volunteers to Take Action. Click here to see how you can help to make the UN MDGs a reality. We are also developing partnerships with organizations that specialize in areas related to the achievement of the goals like the High Cloud Foundation in order to further the MDG effort.  While in Kenya in September, 2008 we led a large cleanup effort of the Nairobi River.
